Is Sako 75 controlled round feed?
If the extractor is a claw integral to the bolt guide rib it is controlled feed. If the extractor is machined into the bolt lug or face, it is push feed. While proponents of controlled feed extol its virtues I have found it to be a pain.

I would stick with Tikka due to that fact it’s more customizable (i.e more aftermarket parts). Sky is the limit on what you want to do with those tikkas. Sako 85 gives you a better stock , better recoil lug, and no plastic magazine, but you lose the drilled and tapped receiver, which limits your scope mounting options.

Every single Sako 75 and 85 has to shoot a 5 shot 1″ group with factory ammo before it can leave the factory. I’ll bet that there’s dozens of shooters here that have shot sub 1″ groups with theirs. I’ve had more than a dozen that shot sub MOA.
What is the most accurate Sako 75 you have ever owned?
Have had two Sako 75’s. The Finnlight in 7-08 was the single most accurate rifle I have ever owned. However, on a pig hunt, after firing a shot, I worked the bolt to chamber another round and the magazine fell out.
Is the Sako 85 Greywolf any good?
I had a Sako 85 greywolf, terrific rifle but not controlled round feed and same as some other posters all ejected rounds hit the scope and fell back in the action jamming it every time. Took a 75 in .300 Win on safari about 10 years ago.
