Does Sonic flossers work?
There has been a small amount of research into sonic toothbrushes. It is not especially conclusive but there are certainly benefits. This study from Stanford found that plaque could be reduced significantly, up to 3 mm from the tips of the bristles by the violence of the sonic agitated water flux.

Any type of toothpaste can be used with the unit including products that contain baking soda. To Water Floss, the hose must be connected. Fill the reservoir with warm water. Like using any Water Flosser for the first time, it is advisable to start out at the lowest pressure setting and increase the pressure over time.

What is oral debriding?
A debridement is defined as the “gross removal of plaque and calculus (tartar) that interfere with the ability of the dentist to perform a comprehensive oral examination”. What this means is that there is a buildup of plaque and calculus that has started to imbed itself in and around the gums and between the teeth.
Does Water Flosser replace flossing?
A water flosser doesn’t replace your toothbrush or traditional flossing. You still need to brush your teeth twice a day, but you can use the water flosser before or after. Fill your water flosser’s reservoir with lukewarm water, then put the flosser tip in your mouth.

Mouthwash – A small amount of mouthwash can be added to the water for flavoring and/or to enhance compliance. Chlorhexidine and Listerine – Have been clinically tested for use with the Water Flosser.
